A rumoured record zander had predator anglers flocking to Graffham Water this season. Hooked 2008 - Anglian Water's magazine for anglers fishing its reservoirs - shows the rumour mill wasn't far wide of the mark.
Ian Bradfield is pictured with an 18lbs 8oz zander believed to be the biggest ever caught on a fly.
There's also a picture of Robbie Marsh, who caught a 23lbs pike during a PAC event on Rutland back in September, literally minutes after telling his boat partner huis ambition for the season was a lure-caught 20.
Events organiser Mark Skinner is trying to arrange another day this autumn after 60 turned out for lasy year's charity fish-in despite the odd post-convention hangovers.
Pike dates for 2008 have also been announced. Anglers can lure fish Pisford on alternate weeks from Monday to Friday, from June 16 and Jun 30; July 14 and 28, August 11 and 25 and September 8 and 25.
Boat fishing with sea deads (excluding lamprey) and lures over 18cm is available as follows:
Pitsford: October 1 - November 23;
Ritland: October 6 - November 16;
Graffham: October 13 - November 30;
Ravensthorpe: October 27 - November 23;
Ardleigh: May 1 - February 28, 2009.
Anglers can now fly fish for predators on Graffham, Rutland and Pitsford from June 16 if they buy a special predator permit, which costs £14 on top of normal boat fees.
Bank fishing is also available on Pitsford from November 1 - December 31; all-year-round on Hollowell, with sea deads only from October to February; and all-year-round on Alton Water and Costessy Lakes.

A perfect storm for Robbie on Rutland
Irish eyes were smiling on a gale-lashed Rutland Water today, when Robbie Marsh nailed a new lure caught PB of 23lbs.
He hooked it on the last cast of the day, on a borrowed rod - just minutes after telling boat partner Gary Jane his ambition for the season was to catch a 20 on a lure.
Another fish of 21lbs, a few doubles and jacks and a scattering of zander made up the 25 or so fish caught on a day when most boats blanked on a wind-swept reservoir.
Conditions were such that anglers were forced to fish more sheltered parts of the South Shore and North Arm for most of the day.
More than 40 pairs fished the event, which raised more than £300 for children's cancer charity
CLIC.

Rutland Water Event - an update
Monday's PAC event on Rutland Water will be the club's biggest ever event, events organiser Mark Skinner said tonight.
Nearly 100 members will be fishing the Anglian Water trout reservoir in a day which will raise money for our adopted good cause, the children's cancer charity CLIC.
They'll have the chance to win a day's fishing donated by our hosts - as well as one or two other prizes in a special raffle.
That's on top of whatever we catch on a beautiful water which offers a perfect venue to unwind for those who are attending the PAC's 30th Birthday bash at Stoneleigh over the weekend.
Mark said: "It's the biggest event we've ever staged and just about every boat is booked.
"Members will be meeting in the car park from 7am and once all our members are booked in we hope to get all the boats out by 9am."
Mark said those unable to attend the Convention would also be able to obtain a copy of PAC30 - the acclaimed book published to celebrate 30 years of the club - at the event.
"Mark Barrett will be fishing the event and has said that if any members attending would like to buy a copy to contact him he will bring some along on the day, you can contact Mark on his email address, wit6372@aol.com ."
Rutland is just one of a calender of events stretching across the winter, with several new waters being opened up to PAC members.
We are close to clinching access to another trout water, details will be made available via Pikelines.
Limited places on some events will be available at Saturday's Convention, where the draw for places on the Lake of Menteith will also be made.

Rutland Water event update
Tickets and event packs for the PAC's event on Rutland Water, on September 24, are on their way.
Special events organiser Mark Skinner said all those who have applied so far had been allotted places and there were still boats available for the event.
"Single applicants have been paired up and members have been paired in such a way that you live as close as possible to your prospective boat partner," Mark said. "This will enable you to may be contact each other and travel to the event together.

Rutland Water event update
All members that have applied to fish our Rutland event in September have been successful, PAC events organiser Mark Skinner said today.
"We have just received a set of rules from Anglian water to be distributed to members when fishing the event," Mark said.
"Event packs which include tickets, rules and information sheets for B&Bs etc will be sent out sometime next week.
"There are still some boats available so please get you applications in if you want to join us."
PAC members can fish the Anglian Water reservoir on Monday, September 24 - two weeks before it officially opens for pike fishing.
With 50 boats available, it will be the club's biggest-ever access event.

Boats are selling fast for Rutland bash
Half of the boats booked for the PAC's biggest-ever fish-in have already been taken up, events organiser Mark Skinner said tonight.
The club has 50 boats reserved for a charity pike fishing bash at Rutland Water, on Monday, September 24.
Proceeds from the day will be going to the CLIC Sargent children's cancer charity.
Mark said 25 boats had now gone in a flood of applications following the recent Pikelines.
Places for the event are for PAC members only and will be allotted on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.
The PAC has secured access to the reservoir two weeks before it opens for pike fishing. See Pikelines for an application form and more details on the event.

Loch Fad dates confirmed for February
PAC members have two more days' fishing reserved on Loch Fad, special events organiser Mark Skinner said tonight.
We've now confirmed access to the water, on the Isle of Bute, over the weekend of Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3; 2008.
Mark said: "Slowly but surely our winter's calendar of events are coming together. We are especailly pleased to be able to offer our members a chance to fish Fad and our Scottish LO Scott Davidson has done a great job in ensuring we will be having two events on there.
"Loch Fad has been producing some very good fish and any members who decide to attend will be in with a chance of a fish of a lifetime."
Fad has produced pike topping 40lbs in recent seasons. Click here for previous stories on this blog.

Anglian Water announces 2007 pike dates
Anglian Water has announced pike fishing dates on its reservoirs for the coming season.
Fly anglers can target pike on Grafham, Pitsford and Rutland from the start of the traditional season on June 16 with a special predator permi costing £14, on top of normal boat fees.
Lures over 18cm can be used at Pitsford from Mondays to Fridays on alternate weeks commencing June 18; ie weeks commencing July 2, 16 and 30; August 13 and 27; and September 10 and 24.
Boat fishing dates with lures and deads - seabaits over 18cm, excluding lamprey - are as follows:
Pitsford: October 1 - November 25;
Rutland: October 8 - October 31;
Grafham: October 15 - November 25;
