Andy Nagel: "Always fish a water to establish knowledge of the prey fish. Things like type, size and abundance help no end in being on the ball pike-wise. Don't take it for granted that just because the water was a top perch water 10 years ago and has a good head of eels, that it is still the same now. A couple of short sessions each summer keeps the knowledge sound."
